Song for my fathers memorial

My wonderful father left this earth on Jan 22nd this year after a long battle with Cancer. We were very close and our family was altogether during his passing. On February 15 we celebrated his life with a memorial service of lots of music and storytelling. I played some songs with my dear friend Molly Pasutti on vocals and Aryeh on guitar. I just wanted to share one of the songs here. I hope you enjoy it.

Lisa & George play Florida State University

Hi Friends,

Its been awhile since I posted. I had taken a hiatus from everything as my Dad endured the end of his long Cancer battle and on Jan 27 he left the earth. We were all there by his side. His memorial was beautiful and I gathered some images of him and the music I played with the intention of sharing moments of it with you. I am in the process of doing that, but it is slow and I can only do it in small steps. It still feels so unreal. My heart has been broken and it doesn't seem like life can ever be the same.

I recently resumed performing and last week I was out to Georges hometown Gainesville, Florida to play a couple shows. One of them was playing at Florida State University. It was March 4, 2009.

On the way out of the grounds after our lunchtime concert we saw a small chapel type venue right on the lake. It serves for special performances and meetings at the University. No one was around so we brought (sneaked) our instruments in and took advantage of the high ceiling, beautiful sound and sunny blue day.
The sound you hear is totally natural, no effects. I recorded it with my little digital zoom recorder and matched it up with the video. So the sound is totally natural with no reinforcement or effects. So this is it, an improvised piece.
